Founded by Lebanese-born brother and sister team Georges and Daniel Daou, DAOU Winery is the result of 8 years of searching and finally finding the 212 hectares of land in Paso Robles, which rises to 670 metres and has an incredible microclimate. This area offers a unique combination of Napa-like climate and limestone-rich soils, similar to the highest vineyards in France. These exceptional conditions allow the Daou brothers to create stunning wines that combine the elegance of the Old World with the vibrancy and innovation of the New.

Notable among their wines is the 2022 vintage Chardonnay, made from 100% of the grape that gives it its name. This stunning white is made from hand-harvested fruit from two vineyards that produce the best Chardonnay in Paso Robles. Both are located in the Willow Creek AVA.

It has a brilliant, pale straw yellow colour.

On the first sip, its luscious, succulent palate reveals full body and bright acidity, characterized by flavors of lemon meringue pie, pineapple, green papaya, lime, toasted almond and honeydew melon. Subtle notes of nutmeg, baked spiced apple and nectarine unfold in a rich, creamy and silky texture with some caramel undertones. An extremely refined wine that boasts a natural freshness and fine minerality. The finish is long, fleshy and succulent, with delightful flavours of ripe apple, caramel and vanilla.

Serve with pan-fried salmon, mussels, roast chicken and creamy, sauced pasta dishes.
