Puglia

A glass of fine rosé wine is sometimes a good way to relax, with its fruity character offering a truly pleasurable taste experience, just like the wine specialities from the Puglia wine region. Many people don’t know how rosé wines are made. It’s not so complicated: the blue grapes are left to macerate for a very short time after harvesting, so that the skins don’t leach out the flavours and colours so strongly.

Our range of rosé wines includes products from a variety of wineries, and by clicking on each wine you can find a more detailed description of the product, such as where it comes from, what year it was produced, what temperature it is best served at, and what dishes it goes best with.

The wines from Puglia are a real curiosity, taking us to a special region, the “heel of the boot” of Italy. Puglia is the place where ancient winemaking traditions meet sun-drenched vineyards, the true essence of southern Italian wine culture.

Grapes such as primitivo, negroamaro and susumaniello are grown here, all known for their rich and intense flavours. These wines are perfect for all occasions: whether it’s a hearty meal or a dinner with friends and a game of table games. Puglian wines have a unique character that captivates the senses and leaves a lasting impression.
A wine region not to be missed: Puglia
The wine region is one of the oldest and most important wine-producing regions in the country, known for its ancient winemaking traditions and home to a wide variety of grape varieties grown in the region’s fertile soils and influenced by the Mediterranean climate. The wine region is home to a large number of wineries, ranging from small family-run operations to large, modern wineries. Many of them offer cellar tours and tastings, allowing visitors to experience the region’s wine culture first-hand.

Puglia’s warm and sunny climate, fertile soils and proximity to the sea make it an ideal place for growing grapes, with one of the most famous grape varieties being primitivo, known for its rich, fruity flavour and high alcohol content, while negroamaro has a bold, complex flavour with notes of blackberries and spices.

In general, Puglian wines are characterised by rich and intense flavours, high alcohol and acidity, tannic structure and aromatic, complex flavours.
