The Varvaglione Winery in Italy is a four-generation family business that has been making wine since 1921, one hundred and two years ago. Since its foundation, it has been constantly evolving, keeping in mind the values that are important to the family. Tradition, experience, state-of-the-art cellar techniques and a love of wine are the basis for the production of high quality wines. The province of Puglia is located in the south of Italy, in the “heel of the boot”. It is one of the regions with the largest area under vines in Italy.
The 2025 vintage rosé wine, named Idea, is a shade of pink. When held up to sunlight, the beautiful cherry pink hue is clearly visible. The fruity palate is dominated by cherry, strawberry, raspberry and blackberry, complemented by spicy, earthy notes, with chocolatey, jammy aromas and a lingering finish. After tasting, it leaves a lighter, slightly dry, high alcohol, pleasantly tart taste on the palate.
This wine is perfect with Puglian cuisine, seafood, lean fish dishes, macaroni and fish stew, fresh soft and medium-hard cheeses, cured meats, various salamis, but it can also be enjoyed with pizza or a hamburger. It is also a good choice on its own, as a party rosé to add to the good mood.
