Madame Veuve Point’s wines are named after an inspirational woman winemaker, Jeanne Marie Point, who was widowed at just 26 and, after her husband’s death in 1903, decided to devote her life to her four-year-old son and his vineyards in Burgundy.
Special cooperation
Our webshop offers white wines from a wide range of producers, including Hungarian, Argentinian, French, Italian, Spanish and New Zealand products, according to their origin. Among the specialities, you will also find the Madame Veuve Point brand, which has now reached a special milestone.
One hundred and twenty years after the Jeanne Marie Point Pouilly-Fuissé won the grand prize at the St Louis World’s Fair, Maison Madame Veuve Point has forged an elegantly prestigious partnership with the Rolls Royce Enthusiast Club. The car brand is also celebrating 120 years of existence and the anniversary was also the occasion to launch the electric Rolls Royce.
The extraordinary story of Madame Veuve Point
The success story of Madame Veuve Point began at the 1904 World Exhibition, where the newly widowed mother presented her wine, which was awarded a grand prize. Jeanne Marie Point, then 26 years old, was determined to keep her promise: to educate her child and not let the family inheritance go to waste.
Today, the company is managed by the founder’s great-granddaughter, Géraldine Point, who continues to drive the family business forward with passion, while striving to promote the winery worldwide. Over the years, expansion has become essential, and in 2015, for example, in addition to grapes from the family plots, they have now partnered with 35 Burgundy grape suppliers. The wines are now sold in 24 countries, mainly in the restaurant and gourmet sectors.
Success after success
At the end of 2023, under the presidency of His Royal Highness Prince Albert of Monaco, Madame Veuve Point achieved another success, winning the Grand Cordon d’Or. This award from the Brotherhood of Franco-Monéasque Haute Gastronomie is further proof of Madame Veuve’s quality and refinement.
On 25 March 2024, Géraldine Point was able to attend the General Assembly of the International Sommelier Federation in Monaco, which brought together some of the most prestigious personalities in the world of wine. One of the brand’s flagship wines, Pouilly-Fuissé impressed all the guests at the dinner with its finesse, balance and complexity. French sommelier Serge Dubs praised Pouilly-Fuissé back in 1989 when he said it was a great wine.
It is in this context, steeped in history and excellence, that the partnership between Madame Veuve Point and the Rolls Royce Enthusiast Club is born. This agreement symbolizes the alliance of two exceptional worlds, where craftsmanship, prestige and passion come together to create an unforgettable experience. For Madame Veuve Point, this partnership is particularly meaningful and creates a unique opportunity to celebrate excellence, heritage and the future together.
